The Governor of the Red Sea Meets with the Steering Committee for the Tokar Delta Agricultural Project

The Governor of Red Sea State, Lieutenant General Mustafa Mohamed Nour, met on Sunday with the delegation of the Steering Committee for the Tokar Delta Agricultural Project. The meeting included a representative from the Eastern Reconstruction Fund and other relevant bodies supporting the project’s development. Discussions focused on the challenges facing the project, particularly the pause in developmental support from the Eastern Reconstruction Fund.

The Governor directed the Ministry of Finance and Workforce in the state to follow up on the issue and find necessary solutions to ensure the continuation of the Fund’s support for the project. This support is essential to enhancing performance, boosting production, and achieving sustainable development goals, especially in food security and economic stability through the marketing of agricultural products.

The chairman and members of the Steering Committee for the Tokar Delta Agricultural Project reaffirmed their full readiness to support efforts to develop and advance the project in cooperation and coordination with local community components and relevant entities in this field.
