The Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, met today with a group of defectors from the Al-Daqlo terrorist militia, led by Dr. Abdel Qader Ibrahim Ali.

The meeting addressed the violations and atrocities committed by this militia against innocent civilians across Sudan.

In a press interview, Dr. Abdel Qader stated that their decision to join the national front was driven by strong conviction, affirming their support for the armed forces in a unified front. He added, "By taking this stance, we have distanced ourselves from the rebellious Rapid Support Forces militia."

He condemned the numerous crimes committed against the Sudanese people, labeling them as clear war crimes, and called for those responsible to be brought before international courts.

Dr. Abdel Qader also highlighted the significant sacrifices made by the armed forces and other regular forces and volunteers in the fight against the brutal rebellion.

He urged all those supporting the rebellion to choose the national option, adding that the door remains open for them to disassociate from the actions of this terrorist militia.

Dr. Mohamed Abdullah Wad Abok, speaking on behalf of the defectors, emphasized that their choice to support the state and its institutions was made with conviction. He warned that the ongoing aggression threatens the unity of Sudanese society and the future of the Sudanese state.

He pointed out that any attempt to tear apart the armed forces is an attempt to undermine the state and its established institutions, posing a threat to the security and stability of the nation.

He highlighted the regional and international challenges facing Sudan, which require solidarity and cooperation among all citizens of the country.
