The Sudan National Council for Medical Specialties has completed arrangements for the first part of exams scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, with (1,753) doctors expected to sit for the exams, including (1,457) in Sudan and (296) abroad.

Professor Ahmed Farah Shadoul, Secretary-General of the Council, stated that preparations are complete, with the doctors sitting in eight centers across Sudan in Al-Obeid, Kosti, Al-Qadarif, Kassala, Atbara, Port Sudan, Shendi, and Dongola, in addition to six international centers in Muscat, Doha, Cairo, Riyadh, Jeddah, and Sharjah.

The exams will cover various specialties, including internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), emergency medicine, and community medicine. Professor Shadoul assured that all necessary precautions have been implemented to address potential challenges related to electricity and internet connectivity. He also expressed gratitude to the institutions and sectors that have facilitated the exam process.

Shadoul further mentioned that exams will start simultaneously online, with a number of foreign doctors and graduates from foreign universities participating. He indicated that the second part of the exams is set to be held, God willing, in March next year, wishing the candidates success.

Notably, the Sudan National Council for Medical Specialties has built a strong reputation both locally and internationally, ranking third globally, following the United Kingdom and the United States, according to research center studies. Its graduates have achieved significant success worldwide, highlighting the high standards of Sudanese medical education.
