Sudan Liberation Army Transitional Council: The State is on the Path to Recovery

The Sudan Liberation Army Transitional Council confirmed that the Sudanese state is on the path to recovery from the detrimental impact of the Rapid Support Forces militia, which has weakened the nation and harmed its citizens. The council highlighted the ongoing military advances and victories achieved by the Armed Forces, joint forces, and supporting forces across various fronts in central and western regions of the country.

Sadiq Khamis Barngoo, the Secretary-General of the movement, highlighted positive diplomatic developments in Sudan’s favor, noting that the African Peace and Security Council is considering the establishment of a monitoring office in Port Sudan. He described this move as a promising sign for the potential restoration of Sudan’s membership in the African Union.

Barngoo also mentioned Egypt’s proactive role within African Union institutions, stating that Egypt has played a key part in coordinating recent efforts by the African Peace and Security Council concerning Sudan. He pointed out that this situation has caused distress for the militia, leading them to accuse Egypt.

Moreover, Barngoo addressed the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the city of El Fasher, North Darfur, highlighting the continued siege on the city. He called for increased internal and external pressure on the Rapid Support Forces to lift the siege on El Fasher.
