Shendi University Hosts the First Part Exam of the Sudanese National Council for Medical Specialties

On Saturday, Shendi University hosted the first part of the exam for the Sudanese National Council for Medical Specialties, attended by 186 doctors. The Executive Director of Shendi Locality, Mr. Khalid Abdel Ghaffar Al-Sheikh, oversaw the proceedings alongside the Director of Shendi University and various doctors and specialists.


The Executive Director regarded the selection of Shendi University to host the exams as a good opportunity to advance the university's development. He praised the significant role the university plays in hosting the Medical Specialties Council exams and other Sudanese universities, in addition to its contributions in supporting the armed forces and blood donation campaigns for the injured.

Mr. Khalid stated that the university has been providing medical and therapeutic services through its health institutions.


The Director of Shendi University, Dr. Hassan Awad Al-Karim, confirmed the university’s readiness to allocate its resources to host the medical specialties exams and produce qualified graduates. He emphasized the university’s capacity to support a broad range of Sudanese institutions and highlighted its commitment to providing all necessary services for the exam.

Dr. Ibrahim Mohamed Hamad Al-Neel, Emergency Committee Rapporteur at the Medical Specialties Council and exam center supervisor, reported that 186 doctors participated in the exam at Shendi University, specializing in fields such as obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine, ENT (ear, nose, and throat), pediatrics, community medicine, and emergency medicine. He confirmed that the exam adhered to international standards.
