The Governor of Northern State, Abdel-Abeedin Awad Allah, issued an emergency order prohibiting the withdrawal of fuel (gasoline) from peripheral and internal stations in the localities of Merowe, Al-Dabba, and Al-Gould permanently. The order also prohibits the withdrawal of fuel (gasoline) from peripheral stations in the localities of Dongola, Al-Burgaig, Dalgo, and Halfa. This order is applicable within the geographical borders of the Northern State, and anyone who violates the emergency order through committing the act, participating, inciting, assisting, or concealing will face legal accountability and penalties stipulated in the Emergency Law or any other law.

Penalties include imprisonment for a period not exceeding ten years and fines ranging from two million to five million Sudanese pounds.

The order further mandates the confiscation of any seized fuel quantities and transportation means used in violation of the directive, with these assets transferred to the Ministry of Finance and Labor.
