Minister of Health in White Nile Witnesses Unified Activities of the Medical and Health Professions Council

Dr. Al-Zain Saad Adam, the Director-General and Acting Minister of the Ministry of Health and Social Development in White Nile State, attended the unified activity organized by the National Council for Medical and Health Professions at the Customs Hall in Kosti. Also present were Dr. Abdullah Abdel Karim, the governor’s advisor for health affairs, and a member of the National Council for Medical and Health Professions in the state.
Mohamed Ibrahim Mohamedin, the chairman of the National Council for Medical and Health Professions, explained that the unified activity includes a professional competency exam, a lecture on professional ethics, and the administration of the professional oath. He noted that 48 candidates are sitting for the professional practice license exam in the specialties of laboratories, nursing, and radiology. These exams will be submitted to the national council in Port Sudan, after which certificates will be issued to the candidates. Additionally, he mentioned that 150 candidates are registered for the preliminary exam for practicing the profession.

Dr. Abdullah Abdel Karim expressed that the council has successfully navigated the challenges faced by the country and White Nile State to participate in the unified activities of the day. He thanked the state government, the Ministry of Health, and the Customs Administration for facilitating the candidates' efforts.
Dr. Al-Zain Saad Adam emphasized the importance of this step for all those belonging to this humanitarian profession within the professional pathway. He stated that the Ministry of Health recommends all medical personnel adhere to professional ethics and patient care. He added that these personnel will be an asset in completing the health map and achieving comprehensive population coverage, expressing the state government’s readiness to support all medical and professional specialty councils.
