Minister of Energy and Petroleum Announces Fuel and Electricity Stability, Revealing Efforts to Maintain 'Umm Dabaker' Station and Bring the Two 'Garri' Stations Online

The Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Engineer Al-Moatasem Ibrahim, revealed the achievement of noticeable stability in fuel supplies, noting that the country's electricity supply system is witnessing a tangible improvement. He pointed out that the issues of electricity stability and the provision of petroleum derivatives stand at the forefront of strategic priorities and represent the most prominent concerns occupying citizens, which the ministry is working to address sustainably.
During his meeting with employees at the ministry's headquarters in Khartoum to extend blessed Eid Al-Adha greetings, the Minister announced active efforts, movements, and joint coordination between the ministry and the Sudanese Thermal Power Generation Company to commence comprehensive maintenance operations for the "Umm Dabaker" thermal power station in White Nile State. This aims to raise its efficiency and operational capacity, in addition to ongoing engineering efforts to bring "Garri" stations No. 1 and No. 2 into the national production grid as quickly as possible to boost stability rates across the country.
Minister Al-Moatasem Ibrahim praised the great efforts and sincere sacrifices made by the engineering, technical, and labor cadres within the ministry and its subsidiary companies, as well as their presence at work sites, production facilities, and fields during the Eid holiday days to secure the flow of services. He affirmed the state's commitment to providing the necessary financial and logistical resources to complete maintenance and rehabilitation projects for infrastructure in the energy and petroleum sectors, thereby achieving development and economic stability.
