Meeting of the Secretary-General’s Council of the Northern Government Discusses the General Guidelines for the State's Budget for (2025)

The meeting of the Secretary-General’s Council of the Northern State Government, chaired by the Secretary-General of the Government, Mr. Awad Al-Karim Rabie, emphasized the need for necessary legal amendments to remove overlaps between ministries, specialized councils, and localities. The meeting discussed the general guidelines for the state budget for (2025).

The meeting focused on enabling the government to deliver its services to citizens, increasing revenues, and empowering localities to cover emergency expenses, whether health-related or due to seasonal challenges such as the rainy season.

The Secretary-General of the Government stated that the meeting covered the adoption of new planning items through localities under the supervision of the Ministry of Infrastructure.

He added that the meeting affirmed enhancing civil service and fostering job satisfaction among employees and staff by changing several regulations.
