Launch of the Workshop on the Role of Popular Resistance in Building Sudan in Northern State

The Higher Academy for Strategic and Security Studies, in partnership with the Popular Resistance in Northern State, launched a workshop titled "The Role of Popular Resistance in Building Sudan," aimed at Popular Resistance leaders. The event was attended by Lieutenant General Engineer Dr. Saleh Yassin Saleh, Chairman of the Higher Committee for Mobilization and Popular Resistance in Northern State.
In his opening address, Major General Al-Fadil Qasim Al-Sayed, Deputy Director of the Higher Academy for Strategic and Security Studies, honored the contributions of the armed forces, security agencies, popular resistance members, and mobilized personnel in defending the homeland and preserving the dignity of the Sudanese people. He extended prayers for the martyrs of the Dignity Battle, swift recovery for the injured, and the safe return of detainees and displaced individuals.
Major General Al-Sayed explained that the workshop seeks to foster discussions, consultative sessions, and the creation of ongoing plans and programs to support the Popular Resistance’s mission during both wartime and peacetime. He commended the Popular Resistance in Northern State for their steadfast support of the armed forces and their role in reinforcing national unity and supporting the Sudanese state across all sectors.
He added that the Popular Resistance and all institutions, sectors, and activities have a significant role to play in leading the post-war efforts of rebuilding and development. He also highlighted the Academy's contributions in awarding advanced academic degrees, establishing specialized research centers, and training future leaders.
Lieutenant General Saleh expressed the Popular Resistance's appreciation for the Academy's visit and the workshop’s organization, which he sees as a crucial opportunity to cultivate strategic principles, scientific foresight, and realistic analysis for addressing current challenges and fortifying the Sudanese state and armed forces. He reiterated the Popular Resistance’s commitment to training its leaders, utilizing available opportunities, and responding swiftly to the realities on the ground.
The workshop included several academic lectures, including "National Resistance in Peace and War" by Major General Dr. Mohamed Nematallah Jibril, "Information Security (Cybersecurity)" by Major Engineer Amjad Ali Omar, "The Role of Popular Resistance in Building Sudan" by Lieutenant General Mohamed Khogali Al-Amin, and "The Establishment of the Sudanese State" by Professor Mohamed Hussein Abu Saleh.
