Khartoum State reviews the Ministry of Education's arrangements for the postponed Sudanese certificate exams for the 2022-2023 academic year

The Khartoum State Government, led by Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza, convened a meeting to discuss critical updates regarding the upcoming Sudanese certificate exams, which were postponed from the 2022-2023 academic year. Dr. Hamidno, the Acting Director-General of the Ministry of Education, reported that a total of 20,048 students have registered for the exams and attended classes over the past months. He confirmed that the curriculum has been fully covered, review sessions conducted, and committees established for monitoring, control, and security during the exam period, set for next December.

The meeting praised the efforts made by the Ministry of Education, which worked under extremely challenging conditions.

In a different context, the state government approved the resumption of rickshaw licensing as part of efforts to safeguard citizens' rights and prevent any unlawful practices. After the licensing opens, no unlicensed rickshaws will be allowed to operate within the state.

The meeting also addressed various strategies to enhance the state's resources and explore non-traditional sources to tackle the challenges in restoring and maintaining public services, especially as regions are increasingly cleared of rebel militias.
