Kassala: Distribution of Flour Allocations for Displaced Families from East Al-Jazira and Other Localities






















The Acting Minister of Finance and Manpower, representing the Wali of Kassala, Mr. Musa Mohamed Oshik, inaugurated a flour distribution project at the Popular Stores in Kassala. The flour, provided by the Maraki Charity Organization and Northern Cement Company, is designed to support families displaced from East Al-Jazira villages and those who have resettled in River Atbara, Halfa, Khashm Al-Qirbah, and Wad Al-Hilu localities. The launch was attended by the state’s Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Mr. Idris Ali Mohamed, the General Manager of Maraki Company, their partners from Northern Cement Company, and executive directors and representatives from the western and southern localities.


Mr. Ahmed Mohamed, General Manager of Maraki Company, announced that the state has received 23,000 sacks of flour, which will be distributed to displaced families in East and North Al-Jazira localities, coordinated by the Humanitarian Aid Commissioner.


The Humanitarian Aid Commissioner commended Maraki Organization and Northern Cement Company for their contributions, highlighting the initiative as part of their corporate social responsibility.


On behalf of the state government, the Minister of Finance expressed gratitude for the support provided to displaced families in Kassala State. He outlined the distribution plan, which includes 54,000 sacks for River Atbara, 3,000 sacks for New Halfa, and 1,920 sacks for Al-Qirbah and Wad Al-Hilu, along with additional localities. The Minister also acknowledged the efforts of Maraki Organization, Northern Cement, the Humanitarian Aid Commission, and Kassala’s Supreme Emergency and reception committees in assisting the large influx of displaced individuals into Kassala State.
