Governor of Khartoum Opens Supreme Court Headquarters in Omdurman Judicial Complex

On Monday, Khartoum Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza inaugurated the new headquarters of the Supreme Court within the Omdurman Judicial Complex. The opening ceremony was attended by prominent figures in the judiciary, including Supreme Court Judge and Head of Court Administration Mawlana Ahmed Al-Siddiq Nail, Director of the Judicial Apparatus in Omdurman Mawlana Yaqub Osman Baqira, as well as several appellate judges and court police officials.
Governor Hamza expressed appreciation for the judiciary’s dedication to expanding the state’s judicial infrastructure, highlighting how the new Supreme Court will reduce the hardship previously faced by citizens who needed to travel to other states for legal proceedings. He affirmed the commitment of the Khartoum State government to support the judiciary, pledging to allocate resources for the effective operation of courts throughout the state, particularly in liberated areas. Hamza also mentioned that plans are underway to open and operate additional prisons, aiming to establish a comprehensive judicial system within the state.

For his part, the head of the courts, Mawlana Ahmed Al-Siddiq Nail, commended the state government’s efforts and its serious endeavor to provide the services that citizens need in their places of residence, despite the challenges and obstacles. He conveyed the greetings of the Chief Justice to the state government, noting the judicial apparatus's readiness to meet all court requirements to complete the judicial system in the state.
In the same vein, the director of the judicial apparatus in Omdurman, Mawlana Yaqub Osman Baqira, stated that the opening of the Supreme Court in Omdurman has completed the judicial system and contributed to alleviating the citizens' suffering.
