In the context of social visits by the government of Sinnar State, Acting Governor Tawfiq Mohammed Ali, accompanied by the state’s security committee, visited the Sultan of the Flata people at his residence.
In his speech, the governor stated that the visit marks the beginning of recording the history written by the knights of Mayrno, who participated in the protection of Sinnar and made sacrifices. He added that the visit served as a moral boost for the fighters in the Battle of Dignity, highlighting the historical and religious significance of the area and the sultan.
Accompanying the governor were senior officials, including Major General Abdul Moneim Abdel Basit, commander of the Sinnar mobile forces; the state intelligence director; the state police director; and Brigadier General Ali Hassan Bilo, commander of the 265th Air Defense Brigade.

Brigadier General Bilo, who oversaw the Mayrno area during a militia attack, acknowledged the sacrifices of the local people, noting that Mayrno’s residents included martyrs and the wounded. Under the sultan’s leadership, Mayrno was the first to establish a mobilization camp and send forces into combat, with the first state martyr hailing from this area.
Meanwhile, Major General Abdul Moneim Abdel Basit, commander of the Sinnar mobile forces, confirmed that the social visit is part of regular visits honoring the sacrifices and martyrs of the people of Mayrno. He added that this reflects the Sudanese spirit, emphasizing that this war involved the entire nation, which has made sacrifices, and thus the forces achieve victory every day, assuring that the people's patience will not be in vain.
Awad Hajana, the intelligence mobile unit supervisor, expressed optimism about the imminent liberation of Singa, lauding the dedication of the people of Mayrno.
Mayor Abdul Rahman Mohammed Tahir welcomed the delegation, affirming that the people of Mayrno will continue their resistance. The state police director noted that Sinnar actively participated in the Battle of Dignity, mentioning Mayor Saleh in East Dinder and the Flata volunteers from Omdurman who provided lessons in patriotism and taught the enemies a lesson. He recalled a statement made by the sultan that Sinnar would become a graveyard for the rebels.
