Brigadier General Al-Numan Awad Al-Sayed, Commander of the Kadro Military Zone, welcomed the expanded response campaign for Greater Bahri. The campaign aims to support those affected by the war, alleviate their suffering, and provide healthcare services. He congratulated the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council, the General Staff, and the armed forces for their victories in Bahri and across the country. He reassured the people of Sudan that the capital and the country would soon be free from rebellion and encouraged Bahri residents to return to their areas.

Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim, Chairman of the Health Emergency Committee in Khartoum State and the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Health in Khartoum, stated that this is the third convoy of its kind, focusing on health management in Khartoum State. He added that the campaign targets environmental sanitation programs, household and medical waste collection, chlorination of drinking water in homes, markets, and Nile stations, and combating diseases likely to occur due to the region’s damaged infrastructure.

The campaign also included distributing mosquito nets to vulnerable groups such as children, women of childbearing age, and the elderly, in addition to free clinics in peripheral areas. Medications were distributed to approximately 24 health centers and two hospitals in the area. Dr. Mohammed also mentioned that a strategic stockpile of medical supplies has been prepared for North Bahri, with plans to expand to South Bahri.
