Aqbar Calls on Sudanese to Preserve the Unity of Sudan and Build the State

Deputy Chair of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar Eir, called for utilizing the hardships of war to maintain the unity of Sudan, both land and people and to reestablish the Sudanese state on new foundations.

In a lecture today at Al-Shamendura Hall in Port Sudan, titled "Combating the Rebellion of the Rapid Support Militia," Agar stated that behind every disaster lies a potential benefit, highlighting the public's growing solidarity with the armed forces. He urged that this unity be leveraged to strengthen the country's internal front against the rebellion and its supporters.

The Deputy noted that any rebellion that seeks support from foreign elements often complicates matters by forming mutual interests with the enemies of the country to overcome or remove the existing regime.

He questioned whether the Sudanese people desired a transfer of power or the establishment of a state, considering that the war had opened a new chapter for the Sudanese state based on the establishment of a unified army and the unification of Sudanese people in ways that had not occurred before.

Agar warned of the repercussions of engaging in war and called for the establishment of controls on armament.
