Adawi: Al-Burhan's Visit to Egypt is Part of Sudan's Openness to Various International Development Platforms

The Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to the Arab Republic of Egypt, Lieutenant General Engineer Imad al-Din Mustafa Adawi, confirmed that the visit of His Excellency the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, to Cairo aligns with Sudan’s commitment to engaging with international development platforms, particularly in urban development.

Ambassador Adawi explained that the visit is in response to an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. He noted that discussions between the leaders and senior Egyptian officials will focus on enhancing bilateral relations and addressing topics of mutual interest on both regional and international levels.

Ambassador Adawi emphasized Sudan’s appreciation for Egypt’s attention to Sudanese-Egyptian relations, which is also evident in the warm reception provided to Sudanese individuals recently arriving in Egypt.

He reiterated that this visit underscores Sudan’s strong commitment to its relationship with Egypt across all areas of cooperation. Given Egypt’s strategic importance to Sudan, along with its contributions to regional security, stability, and international peace, Sudan is dedicated to furthering bilateral cooperation with its close neighbor.
