Acting Governor of Gedaref Launches the Defense Minister's Support Convoy for Treating and Caring for the Wounded of the Battle of Dignity

The Acting Governor of Gedaref, Dr. Ahmed Al-Amin Adam, launched today, at the Government Secretariat Square, a support convoy provided by the Minister of Defense and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Treating and Caring for the Wounded of the Battle of Dignity. This convoy is for the wounded in Gedaref State, under the slogan "The wounded heroes of the Battle of Dignity are the pride of our people; supporting you is our duty." The event was attended by the Director General of the Ministry of Finance in the state and the Committee for the Wounded and Injured of the Battle of Dignity.
The Acting Governor praised the efforts of state leadership, the Ministry of Defense, and the Wounded and Injured Committee at both federal and state levels, as well as the support from the people of Gedaref, which has been instrumental in providing medical services for the wounded. He confirmed the government’s commitment to supporting them in recognition of their sacrifices in defending the land and honor.

Muddathir Rahma Al-Nourabi, representative of the Supreme Committee for Treating and Caring for the Wounded of the Battle of Dignity, stated that the convoy includes 1,000 bags of flour, each weighing 50 kilograms, specifically targeting the wounded in the state. He noted that additional medical convoys would follow in the coming days and expressed gratitude to the state government for its ongoing efforts to serve and care for the wounded.
Meanwhile, the head of the state committee, Mohammed Khamis Younis, indicated that the support will be distributed to the wounded in Gedaref municipality and several other localities within the state. He praised the continuous support from both the central and state governments, which has significantly contributed to the committee's success. He affirmed the committee’s commitment to caring for the wounded and injured from the Battle of Dignity until they complete their treatment and achieve full recovery.
