The Governor of Khartoum Discusses Resuming Industrial Activity in Al-Sablouga Area, West of Omdurman, and Commits to Restoring Services

The Governor of Khartoum, Mr. Ahmed Osman Hamza, met with factory owners and representatives in the Al-Sablouga area, west of Omdurman, to explore ways to revive industrial activity in the region. He emphasized the importance of restoring water, electricity, and security services, as well as facilitating the entry of raw materials and the distribution of produced goods. Attendees requested a streamlining of administrative procedures and a review of duplicate fees.

The Governor affirmed the state government’s commitment to restarting production and resuming operations at inactive factories, noting that this area serves as a key production hub. He highlighted a state decision prohibiting factories from relocating outside Khartoum without consulting the relevant committee. The Governor also pledged to bolster security forces to address safety concerns and to review all necessary services to maintain continuous production, including collaboration with telecommunications companies to restore their services.

Additionally, the Governor discussed efforts by the Omdurman locality to resume operations at the popular market after assessing essential services, aiming to revitalize economic activity in the state's markets and normalize life in the area.
