South Kordofan Government Approves Matrix to Enhance Mining Revenues, Plans Support for Students Affected by Conflict

The Council of Ministers of South Kordofan, chaired by Governor Muhammad Ibrahim Abdel Karim, approved the economic sector matrix related to the development of mining revenues and other revenues, which included more than thirty recommendations.
The Secretary-General of the government, Mr. Ibrahim Hamdeen Kuku, the official spokesman for the council, stated in a press statement that the council approved in its regular meeting held at the government secretariat in Kadugli the matrix from the Ministry of Finance and Labor in South Kordofan, which included thirty recommendations regarding the development of revenues and strengthening oversight of mining, noting that there are some observations and amendments that will be completed later to address all issues.
Within the same context, the council heard a report from the Ministry of Education and Guidance on the postponed 2023 and 2024/2025 Sudan Certificate examinations. It was confirmed that the State Government and the Ministry of Education had expressed readiness and technical and administrative preparedness to conduct the examinations as scheduled.
Additionally, the council reviewed the Ministry’s education plan, which covers the reopening of schools for students taking the exams. The plan also outlines how to support students affected by conflicts and war, providing them with opportunities, as well as accommodating and registering displaced students from other regions.
