The High Committee for the Rehabilitation of Atbara Airport announces the near completion of the modernization work.

The High Committee for the Rehabilitation and Modernization of Atbara Airport confirmed that the completion rate of the required updates and rehabilitation of Atbara Airport has exceeded (80%).

During its regular meeting today, chaired by Engineer Samir Saeed, Minister of Infrastructure and committee head, and attended by Mr. Othman Ahmed Othman, Secretary-General of the Government; Mr. Osama Majzoub, Executive Director of Atbara Locality; and Mr. Abdelwahab Mohammed, Director of the Airport, the committee commended the contributions of the entities involved in the rehabilitation efforts. The committee reviewed the commitments of participating companies and institutions, assessing their fulfillment levels.

Additionally, the committee highlighted the significant progress made in coordination with supporting entities to finalize the necessary upgrades, ensuring that Atbara Airport will meet all international airport standards.
