Zain continues its project to support those affected by floods and rains in several states

After completing the distribution of shelter supplies in Tokar and Khor Arbaat in the Red Sea State, the Sudanese mobile phone company Zain continued its project to distribute shelter supplies to those affected by the recent floods and rains in the cities of Abu Hamad in the Nile River State, and in Tangasi, Al-Qurayr, and the village of Sarkamto in the Northern State.
The Director of Social Security in Abu Hamad Locality, Mr. Youssef Habib, expressed gratitude for Zain's timely support, noting the urgent need for shelter supplies following the severe damage caused by the floods and rains. He commended the company's efforts to assist the affected communities.
For his part, the Northern Regional Manager at Zain, Mr. Mohamed Hashim, stated that this support comes in solidarity with the wider Abu Hamad community and its generous people, highlighting that this initiative reflects Zain's great attention to the region.
A number of those affected by the floods in the area expressed their appreciation for Zain's initiative and its timely arrival in their areas during these difficult times that the country is going through. Following the distribution in Abu Hamad, Zain provided similar support to Tangasi, Al-Qurayr, and Sarkamto in the Northern State. Representatives from Zain, along with local committees, assessed the damage, which impacted 1,500 homes in these areas due to the recent rains and floods.
