Worshippers at the Khelwatiya Sufi Order mosque performed a memorial prayer for the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity, including members of the armed forces, police, general intelligence service, volunteers, and civilians who were killed by militia forces and martyred due to its shelling inside their homes.
The Governor of Khartoum, Ahmed Osman Hamza, participated in the prayer and attended a Quranic recitation led by Sheikh Al-Tayyib Sheikh Abdel Wahab Al-Sheikh Al-Fateh Qareeb Allah, the leader of the Khelwatiya Order. The event drew a large audience, including representatives from the security services, Sufi leaders, and various community figures.
The Governor of Khartoum praised the initiative of the Khelwatiya Order and called on all mosques to hold memorial prayers daily for the martyrs of the Battle of Dignity, adding, “We are living victories and will not heed the calls of the demoralizers and militia supporters.” The governor also praised the Sufi orders for their contributions during the war, including providing shelter and food to those in need.
As part of the event, lectures were delivered by followers of the Khelwatiya Order, discussing the call and what the Sudanese nation is facing in terms of targeting and violations.
