The Vice President of the Sovereign Council reviews the performance of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments and the Supreme Council for Hajj and Umrah.

Commander Malik Agar Eir, the Vice President of the Sovereign Council, reviewed the performance of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Endowments and the Supreme Council for Hajj and Umrah during the past period.

During his meeting today in his office in Port Sudan with the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Dr. Osama Hassan Mohammed, and the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for Hajj and Umrah, Mr. Sami Al-Rashid, he emphasized the necessity of communicating with the official authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Royal Court, to facilitate and expedite the procedures related to proving ownership of Sudanese endowments or issuing replacement certificates for lost ones to obtain the due compensation for the government endowments that were removed during the previous period, totaling seven endowments in Medina, Jeddah, and Mecca.

The Vice President received a comprehensive briefing on the arrangements and preparations for the Hajj season for the year 1446 AH, as well as the results of the council's delegation's visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to enhance coordination and cooperation with relevant authorities to ensure the success of the upcoming Hajj season.

The Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments stated in a press interview that the meeting discussed the ministry's performance during the previous period, particularly regarding the endowments and the procedures related to monitoring and developing Sudanese endowments in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He added that the Vice President of the Sovereign Council received a detailed explanation about the Supreme Council for Hajj and Umrah's preparations for the Hajj season 1446 AH.
