The President and members of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, with deep sadness and sorrow, mourn the late Sudanese hero and world-class swimmer, Abdelmajid Sultan Mohamed Saleh Kijab, who passed away after a brief illness.

In mourning him, the Sovereignty Council also mourns the loss of a national hero for the Sudanese people, who competed in regional and international arenas, raising Sudan's flag in all swimming competitions, where he won numerous medals.
