The Northern State Governor Receives the Delegation of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization

The Governor of the Northern State, Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, welcomed a delegation from the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization, led by the organization’s Director-General, Ms. Rahaba Saeed Abdullah, in his office on Sunday. The meeting was also attended by the Secretary-General of the State Government, Mr. Awad Al-Karim Rabie.
During the meeting, the Governor was briefed on the objectives and program of the delegation’s visit to the state, which will last several days and cover most of the state’s localities. He welcomed the visit, which comes amidst the exceptional circumstances the country is experiencing, and praised the efforts of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization and its role in protecting consumers and the national economy.
The Governor emphasized that standards represent the foundation for the desired development and progress. He added that the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization has consistently played a significant role in social responsibility. He affirmed that his government will continue to support all of the organization’s plans, programs, and projects to enable it to perform its duties to the fullest.

The Director-General of the organization, Ms. Rahaba Saeed Abdullah, stated that the delegation’s visit to the Northern State is part of monitoring performance and operations in the organization’s branches and offices across the states, assessing their needs, and addressing them to help the organization fulfill its regulatory duties, protect consumers and the national economy, and contribute to the process of development, progress, and growth. She commended the efforts of the Northern State Government and its support for the organization's programs, activities, and projects.
She added that the organization is looking forward to increased cooperation and coordination with the state government and various sectors to further achieve its objectives and mission, particularly in improving and enhancing the quality of public life.
Further details on the delegation’s agenda were provided by Engineer Abdel Azim Ismail, Director of the organization’s branch in the Northern State. He confirmed that the delegation's planned program is proceeding well and according to schedule. The visit will cover the localities of Merowe, Aldabba, Dongola, Al-Barqeeq, Dalgo, and Halfa, which allows for an in-depth assessment and support of the organization’s regional activities. Engineer Abdel Azim noted that the visit’s outcomes are expected to have a significant positive impact on the organization’s performance in the Northern State, particularly in terms of improving collaboration with partners and relevant entities.
At the end of the meeting, the Northern State Governor, Mr. Abdeen Awad, was honored by the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization.
