The Minister of Interior concludes his participation in the High-Level Meeting of the UNHCR Executive Committee in Geneva

The Minister of Interior, Police Major General (Rtd.) Khalil Basha Sayrin, concluded his participation in the UNHCR Executive Committee meetings, where he led the Sudanese delegation. The delegation engaged in a series of joint and bilateral meetings, in addition to delivering Sudan's statement during the high-level segment of the general debate, at a side event dedicated to Sudan, and during the thematic segment on international protection for refugees.

The minister and his accompanying delegation held several meetings with their counterparts, ministers, and heads of the participating delegations, alongside participating in the ceremonial and media activities accompanying the events. The Sudanese statements underscored the scale of violations and atrocities committed by militias against the state and its citizens. They reaffirmed the government's commitment to facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid and emphasized the urgent need for increased donor response to address the funding shortfall in the UNHCR's humanitarian response plan.
