The Sudanese government has presented recent satellite images to ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in the country, proving the falsity of the UAE's claims and confirming the safety of the UAE ambassador’s residence in Khartoum. The images show that the location was not subjected to any airstrike by the Sudanese Armed Forces.
During a meeting with the diplomats in Port Sudan, Foreign Minister Hussein Awad showcased the evidence refuting the UAE's false allegations about the bombing of its embassy by Sudanese military aircraft. In a joint press conference with Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Graham Abdel Qader, Awad emphasized that the UAE embassy was the only diplomatic mission not affected by looting or destruction by the "Rapid Support Forces militia," unlike other diplomatic premises.
He further accused the UAE of being complicit in supporting crimes committed by the militia and of fabricating this claim to divert attention from its role in backing the rebellion. He explained that the UAE had misled some countries and organizations into issuing statements supporting its false claims about the bombing.
The foreign minister also unveiled substantial evidence pointing to the UAE’s direct role in aiding the rebellion, including evidence found after the militia’s defeat in the Jabal Moya region and the liberation of the area in recent days.
Awad confirmed that Sudan has strong evidence showing that the UAE had sent large shipments of weapons to Darfur, with multiple reports from neutral international bodies corroborating that the UAE had operated flights to deliver arms and military supplies to the militia in Darfur. He went on to accuse the UAE of using humanitarian efforts as a cover to provide military and logistical support to the militia, even using the logos of international organizations like the Red Cross. Awad reiterated Sudan’s readiness to engage in dialogue with any party genuinely seeking peace, as long as such efforts adhere to the terms outlined by the Jeddah platform.
