Several officials inspect the progress of work at the Prosthetic Center in Northern State

Yesterday, the Executive Director of Dongola locality, Dr. Makawi Al-Khair Al-Wagi’, alongside the Acting Director General of the Ministry of Health, Ms. E'timad Al-Fadil Othman, and the Acting Secretary-General for Social Affairs, Ms. Mona Salah Al-Din Naqd, visited the Prosthetic Center in Dongola to assess the progress of ongoing work and performance. They also reviewed the ongoing maintenance and rehabilitation operations in several sections of the center.
Dr. Al-Wagi’ praised the services provided by the center to individuals injured in the Battle of Dignity and those with physical disabilities. He commended the Director of the Prosthetic Center in Northern State, Mr. Othman Hassan Othman, and the center's staff for their significant role in improving and enhancing the working environment.
He emphasized the need for increased support from the state government, the private sector, and philanthropists to help the center become a model facility across Sudan. He also confirmed his locality's support for the center's future plans, programs, and activities.
In his remarks, the Director of the Prosthetic Center, Mr. Othman, confirmed that maintenance and rehabilitation work in the prosthetic manufacturing workshop and the new physiotherapy hall had been completed. He announced that starting next week, the center would begin producing prosthetics for everyone on the waiting list, while continuing efforts to secure raw materials with the support of the state government and other entities. Mr. Othman also expressed gratitude for the support of Northern State Governor Mr. Abdeen Awadallah, Director General of the Ministry of Health Dr. Sati Hassan Sati, Secretary-General for Social Affairs Ms. Manal Makawi Ibrahim, and Zakat Fund Secretary Mr. Al-Hadi Mohamed Ahmed, as well as other philanthropists who have contributed to the center's mission.
