Member of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief, Engineer Bahri Advisor Ibrahim Jaber, praised the Ministry of Investment's performance and its efforts in activating regional and international partnerships. He urged the ministry to continue promoting investment opportunities both domestically and internationally.
This statement was made during his meeting with the Minister of Investment and International Cooperation, Ahlam Madani Mahdi.
Minister Ahlam Madani indicated that she briefed the Member of the Sovereignty Council on the ministry's performance from January to October of this year, noting that the ministry handled around 800 different transactions, including the issuance of new licenses and assessments of needs and benefits. This reflects the growing interest in investment projects at both national and foreign levels.
The Minister of Investment highlighted the ministry’s participation in several external forums, where numerous countries expressed interest in investing in Sudan, particularly in free zones. She emphasized the ministry’s commitment to building investment partnerships based on integration and mutual benefit with friendly nations, while also exploring opportunities for regional and international funds to participate in reconstruction alongside national institutions. She noted that investment opportunities are growing significantly, particularly in the industrial sector, which has helped distribute projects across secure states, creating balanced development, meeting local market demands, and creating job opportunities for citizens.
Additionally, Minister Ahlam Madani commended national investment institutions, especially Giad Company, for its significant contributions to manufacturing spare parts and supporting the Armed Forces with essential equipment and supplies.
