Member of the Sovereign Council, Engineer Bahri Ibrahim Jaber, Commends National Team’s Performance and Recent Victories

Member of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Deputy Commander-in-Chief, Engineer Bahri Ibrahim Jaber, praised the performance of the national team and its recent victories during the qualifiers for the Africa Cup of Nations to be held in Morocco in 2025, as well as the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

This came during his meeting yesterday at his office with the President of the Sudanese Football Association, Mr. Mutasim Jaafar.

Mr. Mutasim Jaafar explained that the meeting aimed to brief the members of the Sovereign Council on the performance of the Sudanese Football Association and the arrangements and activities taking place for the national teams in general. He added that the national team's victories represent a symbol of the army's successes on the battlefield, emphasizing that the players carry the nation's banner in another arena, and they are determined to raise the Sudanese flag high among the countries of Africa and the world.

Jaafar expressed his gratitude for the support and backing provided by the President and members of the Sovereign Council to the national team’s journey, which has positively impacted the commendable results achieved. He also pointed out the rich history of Sudanese football. The President of the Sudanese Football Association also extended his thanks to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, its government and people, as well as the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Football Association, for creating ideal conditions for the Sudanese national team, which contributed to their strong performance.
