International Organization Launches Workshop to Improve Local Community Economies in the Red Sea State

Save the Children, Red Sea Office, launched a workshop on family economics analysis and enhancing predictive and analytical capacity, with the participation of various official bodies, community members, and local components of the Red Sea State, from October 27 to 31.

In a press release, Dr. Hiba Ibrahim, Food Security Coordinator at Save the Children, explained that the workshop aims to identify constructive alternatives to strengthen local communities, improve income sources, and develop innovative methods for increasing citizen income.

She noted that the workshop is part of a project designed to mitigate the impact of predictable shocks through proactive community measures in Sudan. Funded by the German Foreign Ministry, this project targets impoverished communities facing income-related challenges.

The workshop includes studies and analyses of situations of sample local families to develop effective plans and programs. It also features a field study in several areas, notably Tokar and Arbaat.
