Health Minister of Kassala State Meets with Health Minister of Al-Jazirah to Monitor the Health Situation of Displaced Persons

Dr. Ali Adam, the acting Health Minister of Kassala State, emphasized the importance of coordination between his ministry and that of Al-Jazirah State to provide health services and monitor the health situation following the recent displacement of citizens from East Al-Jazirah to Kassala State due to attacks by rebel militias.
He made these remarks while receiving a delegation from Al-Jazirah State, led by its acting Health Minister, Dr. Osama Abdel Rahman Al-Faki. Dr. Ali stressed the need for a collaborative approach to provide health services in the localities now housing displaced citizens from East Al-Jazirah. He mentioned that he recently led a delegation to the Halfa and Nile Atbara localities to assess the health and humanitarian services available to the displaced and to identify urgent needs. He confirmed intensified efforts, in coordination with the Federal Ministry of Health and Al-Jazirah State’s Health Ministry, to supply hospitals and health centers with the necessary resources for displaced individuals and other affected residents.
Dr. Osama expressed his gratitude for the significant efforts made by Kassala State in sheltering and providing health services to the citizens of Al-Jazirah since the outbreak of war. He noted that the meeting was part of coordinating efforts, stances, and arranging interventions to provide all health services in the targeted areas affected by the recent displacement from East Al-Jazirah. He also mentioned that the delegation visited Al-Qadarif State and observed the conditions of the displaced there and that they would be visiting Halfa locality in Kassala State today, emphasizing that the visits were directed by the Governor of Al-Jazirah and coordinated with the Federal Health Minister.
