Khartoum – Governor Ahmed Osman Hamza of Khartoum welcomed all initiatives that contribute to the state's efforts to provide assistance, relief, and shelter for citizens affected by the war, which has impacted large sectors of the population. He stressed the need for further efforts and a broad mobilization to attract support.
This statement came during his reception of the first aid convoy from the "Basmat Khair" organization from sisterly Egypt, aimed at supporting the efforts to assist citizens in Khartoum State. The meeting was attended by Ibrahim Al-Tayeb Suleiman, the Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Mobilization Committee, and a delegation from the Sudanese Journalists Union.
The governor expressed his gratitude to the Egyptian government for hosting many Sudanese citizens and providing them with comprehensive support. He also commended Sudanese citizens abroad who continue to shoulder the burdens of their compatriots, particularly through charitable and medical support initiatives. The governor confirmed that aid distribution would prioritize those most severely affected by the crisis.
Ibrahim Al-Tayeb added that the popular resistance is actively working to support citizens and is collaborating with the state government on multiple fronts, especially in essential services and related areas.
