Dr. Al-Zain Saad Adam, White Nile's Acting Health Minister chaired the coordination meeting between the Ministry of Health and the Executive Administration of Health Insurance

The meeting took place at his office in Rabak and was attended by Dr. Ayman Ahmed Mohammed Al-Jazouli, the Executive Director of Health Insurance, along with several department heads from both the Ministry of Health and the Health Insurance Administration in the state.


The Acting Minister stated that the meeting reviewed the progress of implementing the recovery plan led by the Health Insurance Administration to restore insured health services across several hospitals in the state. This initiative is supported by the General Secretariat of the National Health Insurance Fund and the Government of White Nile State, representing a significant challenge in re-establishing these services.


He further noted that, based on the report presented by the Executive Administration, more than 90% of health services have been restored. Moreover, the approval of additional service packages has been initiated, with health insurance services now functioning at an exceptional level due to the concerted efforts in executing the recovery plan, supported by the state government and the National Health Insurance Fund. He also reaffirmed the Ministry of Health and Social Development’s commitment to supporting health insurance services, recognizing their essential role in achieving comprehensive health insurance coverage and making significant strides in the health sector, with health insurance being the cornerstone of this progress.


Dr. Ayman Ahmed Mohammed Al-Jazouli, Executive Director of Health Insurance in White Nile State, provided a detailed report on the progress made in restoring hospital operations, along with the plan for the remainder of the year. This includes the approval of thirteen hospitals to be restored, with close oversight from the State Governor, the Director of the National Health Insurance Fund, and the Minister of Health in the state.
