Director General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization Commends the Performance of Nile River State Branch

Atbara – Ms. Rahba Saeed Abdullah, Director General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Organization, reviewed the performance of the organization’s Nile River State branch.


In her meetings with the branch’s staff and management, she discussed challenges affecting performance, workers' concerns, and the organization’s operational needs.


Ms. Rahba praised the progress achieved by the Nile River State branch in less than a year, particularly in the technical and administrative fields. She expressed her commitment to addressing the branch’s technical requirements, including the provision of laboratory equipment and inspection tools, to enhance its role in protecting consumers and the national economy. She also called for the immediate organization of workshops to raise awareness and educate the public on the importance of standardization.


Dr. Ahmed Sayed Ahmed, Director of the Nile River State sector, stated that the visit by the Director General fulfilled its objectives by addressing the branch’s needs and responding to requests aimed at improving performance and efficiency. He emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships between the organization and various state institutions, thanks to the Director General's extensive visits aimed at tightening oversight of goods and services.


Federal directors of the organization also commended the high level of performance at the state branch, noting the detailed presentation of its performance report, challenges, and obstacles. They pledged to meet all the branch’s requirements.


Earlier today, the Director General inaugurated the state sector’s exhibitions at the organization’s headquarters in Atbara. During her tour, she reviewed the branch's capabilities and future prospects, as well as its needs, including completing laboratory facilities and acquiring essential work tools.
