Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council meets with the Director of the Dams Implementation Unit

The Deputy Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Commander Malik Agar Ir, held a meeting yesterday with Engineer Al-Harith Mustafa Abdulrahman, Director of the Dams Implementation Unit. The discussion focused on the Gedaref Water Project and the ongoing efforts to resolve its challenges.

During a press briefing, the Director of the Dams Implementation Unit announced that an understanding had been reached with the Chinese contractor to expedite the project's implementation. He also mentioned that the meeting covered the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning's commitment to scheduling the payment of the arrears owed to the Chinese company. The Deputy Chairman of the Sovereignty Council reaffirmed the state's commitment to supporting the Gedaref Water Project as part of the government's focus on addressing the citizens' essential needs.
