Badi Participates in the Executive Office Activities of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited

Al-Damazeen - Governor of the Blue Nile Region, Team Ahmed Al-Omda Badi, took part in the executive office activities of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company Limited in Al-Damazeen. He praised the company's achievements in supporting the stability of the country.


He explained that the visit aims to support the company and encourage it to achieve more production in the field of mining development in the region over the coming year and into 2025. He affirmed that the region enjoys stability at the level of the governorates under the Juba Agreement for Peace in Sudan.


Badi directed the immediate initiation of mining activities in all areas of the region as part of the policy to rely on the development of local resources amid of the current security conditions.


Additionally, he stressed the importance of supporting cooperation and coordination between the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company and the mining authority in the region. Badi called for enhancing collaboration between the citizens and the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company and the mining authority to provide services that are important to the citizens of the region.


The governor expressed appreciation for the positions of the federal Ministry of Minerals and its genuine support for production issues in the region. He invited all serious companies to come to the region and invest in the region's mineral resources, given the stability it enjoys.


Dr. Muhammad Al-Rahima, Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, briefed the governor on the company’s production plans for 2025, including plans to introduce five new companies to the governorates of Kermuk, Qaisan, and Wadi Al-Mahi.


Al-Rahima announced that Badi had directed the removal of obstacles hindering companies operating in the chrome sector, with a focus on corporate social responsibility. He also highlighted a commitment to reviewing contracts for companies that have halted operations.


The executive office meeting also addressed environmental concerns and safety in mining markets, including waste management. A higher council for the environment was proposed to mitigate the environmental impacts of mining production in the region.


Al-Rahima expressed gratitude for the governor's genuine interest in the overall performance of the company and his attention to the production plan for the coming year 2025.


Additionally, the governor launched the ambulance vehicle project as part of community responsibility programs. In recognition of his efforts, company employees honored him.
