Mohammed Mohammed Othman Omar announced his defection from the Rapid Support Militia, where he served as a digital media expert and a member of the militia's supreme advisory committee.

He stated that his ties with the militia ended from the moment he fired the first shot. During a press conference on Saturday at Al-Rabwa Hotel, he expressed his alignment with the state’s path and urged an intensification of media efforts to expose the falsehoods and claims made by the militia and its supporters, including certain countries, activists, and political parties.

He pointed out that the Rapid Support Militia has displaced millions of Sudanese citizens, destroyed infrastructure, and caused famine in Sudan. He noted that deception and the spread of false information are fundamental tactics employed by the militia. He also accused foreign experts and external parties of being behind leaked recordings involving militia leaders, emphasizing that the militia promotes ideas unrelated to the war, such as opposing the “State of 56” and the “Jalaba State,” which he described as baseless notions.

He revealed that the Rapid Support Militia's media power rivals five global institutions, emphasizing the importance of understanding the dimensions of the conflict in Sudan and coordinating efforts to uncover the militia’s false claims. He called on the international community to support the Sudanese people amid the current circumstances caused by the Rapid Support Militia’s rebellion, noting that activists outside Sudan use the term “ISIS” to incite international and regional opinion against the Sudanese state.
